Hosting Can Be Complicated, Here Are Some Commonly Asked Questions

How much does hosting cost?
I charge a very simple flat rate for hosting. No tier locked benefits, just one price for everyone and everything included.
Do I need to buy an SSL certificate?
Nope! Your SSL is included in the above cost. It also includes uploading and validating the certificate every year, with no hassle or downtime.
Will you help me move from my current host?
Sometimes the current host can be reluctant to let go of your business. This is quite normal but usually requires communication and organisation with them before your website can move. I may need to charge a small one off fee based on the amount of communication and organisation needed with the incumbent host. I would also recommend undertaking an optional Full WordPress Audit prior to moving to help me assess its security status and make a plan to get your existing site working at its full potential
Can I host my website myself?
This is an option of course. But it is not recommended if you do not have extensive experience in web hosting and server management. Being able to handle issues as they arise is critical.
Do you offer VPS hosting?
Yes I offer dedicated VPS hosting also. Since this should be configured to your specific needs, I would discuss your website and its requirements to create a bespoke package for you. Get in touch to find out more.
What if I need support with content
I offer many content plans to manage your content updates for you if you are not very confident with the back end of your WordPress website.
Will you manage my domain & DNS for me?
Yes I offer a domain management service to renew your domain every year, and any DNS changes you may need.
Why not use Wix or SquareSpace?
Wix or SquareSpace may well be a little cheaper, but you will need to do all of the work yourself. For a website to work properly and reach the right people you will need a firm grasp of UX and how content layout impacts browsing trends, and how those trends impact decision making for end users. Any issues you may have will also fall in with thousands of other requests from the many other people in the same boat as you. When hosted with me I will be your sole point of contact for advice, and any needs you may have.
