Do I Need To Provide Anything For You To Fix My Website?
I may need temporary access to different logins depending on the situation. If your back end/admin area is still accessible I will likely need access to this to fix most issues. In some cases I may need temporary access to your hosting panel to review error logs and other system administration tools.
How Do You Protect My Credentials If I Have Access To WP Admin?
Whilst this is not a large determining factor in a websites performance, small optimisations like localised name servers can help when combined with other improvements. If a visitor in the UK requests your website, and the name servers set by your current registrar are located in the United States, that users request must first query the name server located in the U.S. to find where the actual server that the site is hosted on is located. This increases the time to serve the content to the users on the requesting device end.
How Do You Protect My Credentials If I Don’t Have Access To WP Admin?
If you don’t have access to the back end of your website, I will likely need access to your hosting panel. Some hosting panels allow you to create another user but this is not very common. It is likely you will need to share your current user with me. In this case I will securely supply you with a random string password that you can set your hosting account user to temporarily so that you don’t have to share your memorable password directly with me. Once the issue is fixed or a refund is issued, you can then change your password either back, or to something new. If you are not sure on any of the above, I can get on a call and help you through it all.
How Long Will I Need To Wait For My Fix?
